Rush: I'll Tell All on Painkiller Story

Addressing for the first time allegations that he's under investigation in Florida for abusing prescription painkillers, talk radio icon Rush Limbaugh promised his audience that he'd tell them everything he knew "as soon as I know what I'm up against."

"The story in Florida, it really is an emerging situation," Limbaugh said at the top of his Friday broadcast. "I watch what's being reported on television and it changes from morning to morning, hour to hour, day to day.

He continued:

"I don't know yet what I'm dealing with here, folks. I really don't know the full scope of what I'm dealing with. But when I get all the facts, when I get all the details of this, rest assured that I will discuss this with you and tell you how it is."

Limbaugh pledged, "I'll tell you everything there is - well - maybe more than you want to know."

Sounding confident and strong, Limbaugh said he'd received more than 25,000 supportive emails since he was hit with twin controversies over his comments to ESPN and allegations from a former housekeeper that she obtained for him thousands of painkilling pills over the last four years.

"I can't tell you how much I appreciate the notes, all of the expressions of support. It means everything to me, as has your support over these many years," the top talker said.

Prosecutors and police can be conniving SOB's when they want a win. They were with the Eisenbergs in Tampa. Rush is in the 'butterfy ballot' county that gave us all such wonderful entertainment during the last election. When the conniving SOB's are liberals, you have to be very careful about anything you say. The best thing to tell a cop is that you want your layer present. They will do whatever they have to inorder to get a conviction. Remember, anything you say will be misquoted and used against you in a court of law.

Ummm maybe because what they have posted are scans of the affidavit WITH THE JUDGES SIGNATURE! They are not stupid enough to put up a fake with a forged signature of a judge.

I don't know how the NE has a copy of the tape. Maybe they have better sources than some would like to give them credit for.

It will not stop me listening to and following Rush Limbaugh's commentary, nor will it change my opinion of him. I recognize, that true or false, he is a human being and no worse than a president who received head on the oval office floor.

Let's put this in perspective. This is not about Rush Limbaugh. It is an all-out assault by the most evil, despicable, dirty, foul-smelling, hypocritical politicians in the history of the world. No one who disagrees with the dark minions is safe unless we stand up and say enough is enough and start fighting back.

Republicans and conservatives need to stop being reactive and start going on the offensive.

When conservative standard bearers do things that bring ill repute to themselves, they hurt the cause. Bill Bennet did it with blowing millions on gambling (no virtue in vice). Newt did it with his 3 marriages. Henry Hyde did it by having affairs. Hell, even Ronald Reagan was married and divorced, and yes - I think that takes a little bit away from their abilities to tout "family values" - let alone Reagan's interactions with his kids.

The issue is not Rush's use of prescription medications, but his illegally acquiring them.

Maybe you should be called YellowDog. That is not the tape of Rush. This is the one last May which May have started it, but not the tape or evidence which would incriminate Rush!
