October 2, 2003 -- FOX officials say they are thinking about spinning off two new channels from Fox News Channel - one for business and another for entertainment news.
Fox Entertainment president Peter Chernin told analysts this week that discussions were underway about creating two new channels from the highly successful FNC, according to reports.

Having lived in England for a number of years though, I can tell you Skynews has very little in common with FOX. They may have the same owner and made use of each other's video during the war, but the similarities end there.

Thanks for the heads up!

Go for it FNC!!!
I for one would sign up in a heartbeat and wouldnt have to wait for the cable or dbs companies to 'offer' you (sandwiched of course on some high cable number between QVC and the Enema channel).
I recently put in a 5.5 foot dish, and bought a used receiver...
Total front-end outlay: $150
Total monthly cost for FNC, about $1.00 per month.
Total one-year cost $162.
Total FIVE-year cost $210.
Five year cost for cable... about $2500.
And I'm getting so sick of NBC's new 'all-gay' 'all-the-time' lineup, I just might have to buy an NBC notch-filter to guarantee that trash-TV never gets watched in my house.

It isn't though. They need a headline news channel sort of thing. I go to Fox for news, and there's O'Reilly or someone else, so I swallow hard and go to CNBC, then to MSNBC, then CNN.
I'd love for there to be another FNC for just news. Plus, they hire well in terms of hotties. If they don't find an editor with a full set, and insist on running the same stories as the other losers, at least they'll find Laurie Dhue types.

Get Rita Cosby and Shepard Smith off the news channel. I second that! Especially that tabloid-twit Smith. He's the absolute worst.
In fact, send that dink to CNN.
