Is the famous Dingell of the Dingell/Norwood bill? Yes. He defeated a more liberal incumbent Rat to keep his seat after redistricting, IIRC.

Defenders say it is sometimes the safest way to protect the health and future fertility of the mother when an abortion is found to be necessary during the second and </third trimester of a pregnancy. A HUGH lie!! One of the women on the stage with x42 when he vetoed this bill several years ago had not had a pregnancy come to term since she had her late term abortion. The problem is that because the woman's cervix is stretched artificially during this heinous crime, it is harder for her to carry successive pregnancies to term, and she'll spontaneously abort when the baby get too big.
I wasn't surprised to see my Rep's name on the NAY list. I spent and hour and a half on the phone with one of his Congressional Aides once trying to convince him that the Rep. was WRONG. Didn't help, obviously.

Has Gephardt voted on ANYTHING this year? I hope the people he represents know that he's campaigning on their tax dollar.

Gephardt one of 13 NOT VOTING:
If their paid to vote, how come they don't?
The Senate will be fun to watch on this one.

I still disagree with the focus on one particular procedure...isn't the issue about late-term abortion rather than one specific measure? Won't doctors just use a different means?

I can't believe there were actually votes against this.
Heaven forbid we should drill for oil under ice in Alaska, but a woman should have every right to have her body mutilated in the act of having her child, her baby, the fruit of humanity ripped from her womb and murdered.
I don't even want to see what my rep voted. It's not like I don't already know the answer.
