AN DIEGO (AP) -- Gubernatorial front-runner Arnold Schwarzenegger acknowledged that he has "behaved badly" to women and offered an apology Thursday.
Schwarzenegger's remarks, as he kicked off a four-day bus tour of the state in the final days of the recall campaign, came after a Los Angeles Times story published Thursday in which six women accused him of sexually harassing and groping them.

>>> Wow, I'm envious that you got to see Issa and Arnold <<<
Believe me, I wish you could have been right there, too.
So sorry to have no pictures to share...
All of us 'sardines' agreed that we'd have to watch the
evening news to really see the whole thing.

Why would I care to apologize? All of the stories are still unfounded. What precisely was Arnold apologizing for? Do you apologize for doing nothing?
Look at my previous posts, because I disagree with you does not mean I'm a dem. Just a few days ago I stated that the best thing that could happen with the recall is for McClintock to get a job in an Arnold administration.
You say "Arnold is probably no saint". WHY would you believe that? All these accusations are unfounded, right?

I agree. How irresponsible of these "women" to sit on this dynomite while Arnold was out there, presumably abusing innocent children. They couldn't be bothered to protect other women or children from his supposed nastiness, but can somehow jump on the bandwagon of trashing a Republican a few days before the election. How special. Whatever reason - well, let's just say I've written in Ollie North twice (1996 and 2002), and if Warner runs in `08, I will write Ollie in again.

Did you hear anyone talking about changing their vote because of this?

I'm not voting for Arnold until he gropes me.
What??

If and when the next bombshell drops, I'll be back to ask whether you've come to your senses yet. Before this circus act is all over, I half expect the 'Rats to release pictures of Arnold and Peewee Herman. That'll give Arnold a landslide victory in San Francisco, but he'll lose out in the rest of the state.

Brainy and wise, she's perfect :-)
I should have my girls listen to Rush, too, they'd be in for fewer shocks. My 10 year old came home yesterday totally appalled that one of her 5th grade friends DOESN'T like BUSH! She was totally floored and had no idea how anyone could say that! LOL

Actually, I was really listening for that, and asked a
couple of people on the way into the rally.
It doesn't seem to be as weighty an issue as the
recall itself, and the burning desire to get rid of Davis.
I was looking for somber faces on the way out, and didn't see any.

You're right about the fact that it isn't hero-worship or raging hormones that attract most of us to Arnold.
How could any woman have a crush on Arnold when there is MEL GIBSON instead... sheesh ;-)

But he didn't apologize in regard to any of those specific allegations in particular. The only woman who put a name on a complaint was from 1975. Her husband was in the gym and did not confront Arnold so I'm not as concerned about that event. I don't know what specific allegations he should apologize for. I think the general apology is sufficient unless someone else speaks up for herself.

Did you hear anyone talking about changing their vote because of this?Gray Davis and the LA Times hope some will. I expect it will do to Arnold what Bush's DUI did to him, a few percent.

Or my personal favorite Republican hunk: Mr. Alwaysconservative! I got a hate-Bush email from someone who we've been sending jokes back and forth with for years on the east coast. My wonderful hubby wrote back and "enlightened" her about a few things. (My hero!) I told him we probably won't get any more jokes from her though! LOL!

I'm not especially thrilled that so many Republicans ignored the certainty that this story,I was personally attacked on here because I brought up these stories. What's comical is there's absolutely no real news to this except that the LA Slimes chose to run it.
That said, I think it is too late to unwind this bandwagon. Arnold either takes this to the finish line, or the recall doesn't pass. I'm sure there will be some bad polls coming out this weekend... especially if they ask about this story before asking about how they will vote...

He probably won't think I'm so sweet on Tuesday when the returns are coming in! LOL! I have to make something ahead of time for dinner that he can just heat up in the microwave because I'll be busy being glued to the computer and TV. On election nights, he's just on his own, poor baby!
