Voters favored recalling Gov. Gray Davis by a large margin in a Los Angeles Times poll released Tuesday and Republican Arnold Schwarzenegger was ahead of Lt. Gov. Cruz Bustamante, a Democrat.

It was the second recent statewide survey to show Davis badly behind and Schwarzenegger in the lead. There is a week to go until the Oct. 7 election.

Arnold and McClintock will both be fine. The voters of California are going to recall Davis and reject Bustamante. They are not going to recall one failed governor and install another with the same and worse problems. Fact is, Arnold and McClintock are both gonna beat Bustamante.

I'd be willing to vote for giving McClintock a little credit where credit is due.

Arnold himself seems to be on a first name basis with Tom-- as in the Great Debate last week.

Maybe the Arnold supporters can put down the tomahawks calling for Tom's scalp for a while, and sit by the fireplace and sip a glass or two of [California] Chardonnay with the Tom supporters and watch the parade together.

Hope springs eternal... ;-)

"Let me help you with this. Arnold is called a R-I-N-O."

Not true. Arnold is putting forward policy issues that are right out of the republican platform. He doesn't support all the planks but he can win and we can do better in subsequent elections.

That was well said, CheneyChick. I'll stand beside you in your well thought out statement.

We need to remember what I call the 12th Commandment: Thou shalt work together to obtain victory.

Hope we do this so we can help the state we love return to her previous Golden State. . .
