I was surprised at Matt Lauer's skeptical questioning. If katie had done the interview it would have been a chuck schumer pep rally.

Lauer still didn't state that Novak said yesterday that no one in the Bush administration leaked Ms. Plame's name.

Yes, Lauer's skeptical tone about Schumer and his motivations was shocking.

Good point about Lauer's failure to cite Novak's unequivocal statement that no one in the Bush administration had leaked the information. Here's a link to an article on that:

Did Lauer ask about Mr. Wilson's giving $2000 to the KERRY for president campaign and money to another one of the dismal-dims campaigns.

Looks like a "vast liberal conspiracy" unfolding.

This is turning into semantics, but....

Novak did not say no one at the Whitehouse leaked the story, he said no one called him. He did not say he didn't get the information from the WH, just that the part about them calling him was not true.
