Schumer did call for an independent prosecutor today. It was just not carried - at least by Fox. Perhaps he just made the statement, as Kerry did. Fox did report that Schumer made the call for the independent prosecutor, however.

I was just going to ask if Schumer had his press conference. I hadn't seen anything on the Web about his call for an investigation during a press conference.
Looks like this storm is over before it began.

I thought I saw him on TV bashing the President.
Right now, the only thing he cancelled today was an appearance at a jobs summit in Fulton, New York. He was scheduled to attend a summit, along with public officials all over the state, to discuss the reopening of the Nestle Chocolate Factory in Fulton, New York. The factory closed this past May, losing over 450 jobs along with it. There are two chocolate manufacturers who have expressed interest in using the empty factory, and in turn, recreate the jobs that were previously lost. Schumer cancelled his appearance at the last minute, leaving me to believe he chose to blow off his consituents here in Central New York, in order to bash the President on national TV.
