The Dems know that a Republican California means they lose California in the Presidential race. But if they hold California with either Davis or Bustamante and President BUSH's approval stays below 50% where it is, they are likely to retake the Presidency. To the CLINTONS that means HILLARY must run this time.
Those that voted for PEROT in 1992 must take personal responsibility for giving us CLINTON #1 (BILL).

Voting no on the Recall is not an option either, because we are left with DAVIS and we still get President HILLARY CLINTON.
Personally, I think McCLINTOCK is a key voice in Sacramento and I do not want him known from here on out as the PEROT of California and the one responsible for HILLARY being elected President. It would ruin his much needed credibility.

I know some of us have personal agendas that differ from ARNOLD's. The Issue is much bigger than our personal agendas.

That is why ..every conservative leader in the state.. (except McCLINTOCK) has ..endorsed ARNOLD.. including ..BILL SIMON and Congressman DARRELL ISSA. The Committee of California Republican Party County Chairs endorsed ARNOLD because they know the criticality.

3...and best of all...it forces the dems to spend a ton of money in CA during the '04 race that was earmarked elsewhere.
Not necessarily. The leading Republican wants to spend more on "social" programs for kids, among other things. He's a big spender. He just wants to pay for his big spending by rebuilding the business climate and getting the money from a lot of people instead of the Davis-Bustamante approach of piling killer taxes on fewer people. It's pretty much the same approach that Dubya takes. It's a bit better than the Democrat approach. But in the end, it's still Big Government.

4. California Republicans lose the high ground of principles when they elect a socialist in Republican clothing and find out the economic conservatism he promised is just a halfstep back from the all out utopian state the majority has been voting for for years.
5. Republicans lose when the Democrats lay blame for the fiscal trainwreck that will happen on Arnold in the name of the Republican Party and the media cooperates by displaying a total amnesia of its true causes.
How many of John McCain's 10 million "Instant Citizens" reside in CA? How many of them will become instant "Motor Voters?" How many of them will notice or care who did what to California's economy when they step into the polls?
