Thanks hedgetrimmer. No, I'm not about to give up. This is the future of our country at stake here and my daughter's and granddaughter's futures. I will not give up.

"Had hoods and masks pulled up to their eyes."

Sounds just like the Palestinians. Is that what's in store for this country?

Picking your own tomatos???

Ate one for lunch today and I can't tell you how good it was. I never buy store bought tomatos. Won't be long before cold weather sets in and I'll have to change my tag line.

I have this dream where most Americans wake up from their slumber, plow up their backyards, and plant a vegetable garden. If this would happen we'd put about 1/2 of the illegals out of work and they'd have to go home. I can dream, can't I?

The distinction between legal and illegal immigrants is increasingly blurred by programs such as the amnesty

I think what is probably more important are immigrants requiring handout programs like food stamps and welfare ---- legal or illegal versus those immigrants who are self-reliant. Add in those who deal in stolen and document fraud and other serious crimes ---- legal or illegal versus those immigrants who otherwise respect the laws here.

There are some hard-working non-violent illegals who are better than many of the legals including those previously amnestied soaking up the welfare.

So those banditos keep screaming obscentities and threats at us and really singled out my 16 yr old, Kinetic, for some reason and she was simply holding an American flag!

Not surprising --- these are very serious Marxists. I'm actually kind of curious how many at these "protests" making all the big demands are even illegals. I have a feeling that most are radical leftist US-hating US citizens. Most of that brown-power MEChA crap comes from 1st generation chicanos who hate this country but don't even know their own country because they were born here and benefitted from every handout program here.

Thank you for the trip report, sounds like you had a hellofa day, don't be discouraged, this is only the beginning. You, and others like us are ahead of the pack. The outrage will spread across America in time. I give you a big "thumbs up" for confronting the illegals.

I was away from home for a couple of months this summer up in the good ole USA.

At every opportunity, I talked about illegal aliens to friends and strangers. There is alot of anger out there regarding this issue.

I was in Walmart and started a conversation about expenses and the fact that insurance rates are going up because of illegals and 5 people came up and put their 2 cents worth in agreeing with me.

I was in another store when 3 Mexicans walked by speaking Spanish. To another customer, I mentioned the fact that they need to speak English. The customer worked at a flea market and told me about the hordes of Mexicans there. He said when he gets enough of them, he yells "el migra" meaning the immigration police. He laughed and said they scatter when he does that as he has a low gruff voice.

People are very angry about the free health care that the illegals get. Here in south texas, a hispanic friend told me that she and her husband's insurance policy had gone up from $500. to $8oo a month. They dropped their health insurance policy last month. They are also angry about Mexicans coming here getting free health care.

If there are any groups even worse than the Mexicans, it's Haitians and Somalis. Truly undesirable.

Very little immigration is of skilled personnel. Besides, it is precisely because of advances in global communications that we do not have to allow people to move to the U.S. to take advantage of their talents and benefit from their contributions.

We do not need skilled people. We are going to be a service based economy, don't you remember?

We don't need more skilled people immigrating to the U.S. because we have advances in telecommunications and a global economy. Especially since most of the skilled workers might have a sense of moral and individual responsibility, AND might turn out to be Republican or WORSE YET, CONSERVATIVE voters ultimately. Businesses will get the service and products that it needs either domestically or import/outsource.

What is needed by today's Democratic politicans are more voters, and now..... They are getting very desparate to hold power the further left they go. They are losing their old political power base because in their quest for power, they end up promising and providing more money and benefits to potiential voters for their vote --- it's a blank checkbook. Provide amnesty to the illegals (they will vote for the Democrats), provide benefits to illegals (they will vote for the Democrats), provide them with the documents to hide their illegal status (Consular Matricular card acceptance and CA driver's licenses) and MOST OF ALL provide them with the opportunity to illegitimately register to vote (Motor/Voter registration [oh, did they know that they were supposed to be U.S. citizens, OR didn't anybody inform them of this requirement or ask for any kind of citizen documentation]}. [And then you have the fact that most of the election fraud is occurring in large Democrat-controlled cities and isn't even investigated ... yet alone enforced].

It is a vicous cycle, the more they provide, the more others want and in order to please them all, they at least promise to provide more. The more they provide, the more government involvement in every facet of our lves and the further socialist their policies become. The Democrats have successfully turned this into a discrimination issue.

The Republicans, in general, do not have the backbone to
stand up to this and refuse both for their own political consequences and business lobbying to address this issue even though it has such far reaching consequences beyond just immigration and politics, with the war on terror (which the Democrats even refuse to recognize is still going on) and our own citizenry and national security at risk.

This issue is a continues to fester. It suits the Democrats and liberals to pursue this. Even if they do not win on the issue this time, they will continue pushing. Their strategy is to force the Republicans to compromise on their position Because if they don't they will be labeled as extremists and UNCOMPROMISING (which is supposed to upset the general public, haven't they heard of standing up for one's principles [oh, that's right, liberals don't have any]). Then the liberals force a compromise and force that stance to be accepted as the status quo. Then they start arguing again for the conservatives to compromise between the new status quo and what the liberals want still. It is a war of attrition, and can not be compromised on anything of substance because this just rewards the liberals and encourages them to continue this juvenile and self-serving behavior. In the minds of the liberals, government is only a game ... a game for power and greed...a game to be won or lost, and they will not lose, if they don't give up anything.

Immigration has to be controlled or we will all suffer in the long-run.

By the way, go Cubbies!!!!!!!

I went to Senator Craig's office in Boise, Idaho and complained about the "Freedom Ride", in-state tuition rates for illegals, and driver's licenses for illegals, since Craig wants to grant "amnesty" to illegal aliens that work in agriculture and has co-sponsored a bill for in-state tuition for illegals.

The poor interns and office workers looked rather stunned after I got done. I only asked them: "Where were they when my civil rights were violated when my driver's license was pulled without due process?", "Where was my cut rate tuition when I went to college?", "Where's my job that I've been looking for the last 2 years?"

They really get uncomfortable when you ask how to become an illegal alien so you can get free stuff.

Yeah I thought all the jobs lost were the low-paying crummy jobs that we Americans didn't want to do anyway.

I don't get the picture of Bush giving a thumbs-up.

Whose side do you believe he's on in the battle between illegal immigrants and U.S. Citizens?

Who do you believe has ordered the new Dept. of Immigration and Border Patrol to keep their hands off these bus loads of illegal immigrants?

Its pretty sad...

I for one have to give credit where it is due. White supremist organizations have been rooted out and basically imasculated for their principled stand on this issue. They have been telling it like it is for years and have suffered their own destruction because of the way they went about it. The rest of society is starting to see the light, unfortunately it may be just a little late. I am not a proponent of skinheads or neo-nazi groups, but it is now possible to understand some of what they have been saying for years, in light of what uncontrolled immigration can, will, and has done to our society.

I can't wait to see how California plans on having a large enough tax base from a population of minimum-wage-earning illegal aliens to drive their welfare-state policies.

If Arnold is elected governor, he's going to seize control of Hollyweird and make nothing but action movies using millions of illegal aliens as 'cheap' extras.

The proceeds from the movies will offset the cost of all his new social programs.

'Yah, we will no more in Hollywood make the 'sissy' movies, yah.' ;^)
