I think Cruz is doing well to the extent that he is NOT coming across as a wild-eyed AZTLAN guy.Instead he's coming across as Gray Davis Lite - arrogant, condescending, cold and elitist. Don't know if that serves him real well either.

Even people in my area where Cruz is from say he scares them more than Davis, and if it appears he is going to win, they will vote NO on the recall. I feel the same way. He is scary, and an ASS!
