Perhaps I missed the story about the fire? California?

This TV show should win the Emmy for best comedy special. I have not laughed this hard in some time.

I call em as I see em. Seems to me that you have a habit of seeing double on occasion ... especially at clamper doins :<)

Is there a FReeper in the house who would take on a serious debate on round-the-world TV in a second language, learned AFTER ADULTHOOD? I lived in Switzerland for 9 years and speak fluent German, Swiss-German, and French, and I am not stupid, yet I would not DREAM of being able to debate a few intelligent mother-tongue speakers in ANY of those languages.
Arnold takes on amazing challenges and does a da*n good job at it.

McClintock in still young. He has a bright future. I know folks consider Arnie a sell-out, but many here are just being realist. Joe Schmoe voter couldn't find McClintock on a ballot.
Sad really.
I'd like to see McC pull out for the good of the party. That sort of "falling on your sword" would endear him to a core of Cali repubs for life.
He needs to grow on people.
A guy put it here best, McC is the guy you'd hire to manage your business, but you'd never let him out on the sales floor.
If he stays in, based on principle, I could understand, and even respect that.
I think it would be a
d@mn shame to do that though, and plunge Cali into another round of Demo foolishness but its not my call.
Must be a heck of a decision....
Arnie is not Uber-Republican. But we know what happens to our guys who run on the left coast.
Either way, I just hope Cali can somehow get outta this mess, the whole state of affairs is just a dang shame.....

"Anybody want to BET that the LA TIMES comes out with a PUSH POLL showing Tom AHEAD of Arnold out of desperation in a hope to split the GOP??? "
COOL!! Anything that makes the leftist media get desperate enough to boost Conservatives is a lovely sight to behold.
Go ahead and tell the pollsters you're a McClintock supporter ... if McC ends up ahead, great, Cali unites behind HIM.

Just curious, *if* this were a dead heat between TMac and Arnold, who would you vote for?

That is a moronic and useless statement.OTOH, how much fun would these threads be without them?
To: ladyinred
I got behind on the thread (who can keep up?) but has anyone reported that Adam Housely on Greta just reported that Schwarzenegger would welcome McClintock into his administration?
A great move and I hope McClintock accepts.

Tom was the only candidate to proclaim his beliefs, they must be important to him.

Steve, I would hope Schwarzenegger got in, did some good things and few bad things. Then in 2006, 2010 he could support Tom for Governor. Perhaps he could support him for Senate or something before that. It needn't necessarily have to be a bad setting that ushered Tom in.

Bustamonte is SO condescending. He thinks he is far better than all of them That's exactly what I was thinking. Ariana said that Arnold treats women badly... did anyone see how Bustamante totally talked down to her a couple times? He is smug and condescending.
To: PhiKapMom
I did not mean to spoil a "getting back together" type thread-sorry.
As far as screen names, I am who I was from the start-mostly a lurker but did attend the impeachment rally in DC and got escorted away by police from a hillary book signing-LOL
I'm really concerned about the rino-ization of the republican party.(McCains, snows, Chaffee etc etc.)Besides- someone has to at least attempt to counter the great and fuuny work of Registered -I loved the kamakazie McClintock photoshop :)

I am so happy I missed Davis's 90 minutes! Didn't even hear about it. Too much going on with our lawsuit against the HRC I guess! :-)

True.Dole has a creepy personality. McClintock comes across as hard and all business, which is of course what the state needs. But it doesn't sell well to the large number of dim wits in the state.
To: cyncooper
The Schwarzenegger camp knew Arianna's tactic and coached him to push her back to prevent her from taking over the debate more than she managed to. They think it was effective. I do, too. We all get tired of seeing certain types try to run the show and the trick is to put them in their place without crossing a certain line. I believe Schwarzenegger achieved this, as I didn't wince or cringe at his lines but was saying "Go, Arnold!". Garrett concurs that the AS camp is pleased with their man's performance.
Excellent analysis. I totally agree with you.
