No Sir, it was NOT a mistake for President Bush to go. Read his remarks, he is being presidential and a world leader. He is telling it like it is and many leaders should be slinking out of the chamber with their tails between their legs (assuming frogs once had tails).

As long as we have the United Nations and participate, then we must do our best to make it relevant. Fantastic job, Mr. President.

You think the President can magically make these people in the UN stop hating America just by giving a speech? I'm sure they're all embarrassed and humbled now that Bush has brought their behavior to their attention. I'm sure the Syrians are now slapping their forheads saying "How could we have been so anti-American?"< /sarcasm >

The sitting president give a speech to the UN every year. In a certain sensem it is not really an issue of whether to go or not, it the content that was important.
