Good answer!
The President's speech read quite well. I'll watch it tonight and see how it went.
As for the UN, it is mostly useless. But there they are, and Bush is doing a good job rubbing their nose into what they ought to be doing.

Since that day, terrorists have struck in Bali, in Mombassa, in Casablanca, in Riyadh, in Jakarta, in Jerusalem -- measuring the advance of their cause in the chaos and innocent suffering they leave behind. Between these alternatives there is no neutral ground. All governments that support terror are complicit in a war against civilization. No government should ignore the threat of terror -- because to look the other way gives terrorists the chance to regroup, and recruit, and prepare. And all nations that fight terror, as if the lives of their own people depend on it, will earn the favorable judgment of history.
In the spirit of this speech, I said hello to the PLO terror regime offices in Washington DC, and to our millions that have been sent to that Palestinian Authority terror regime.

By speaking to the UN, he is giving relevance to an irrelevant and obsolete organization. It was a mistake to go.I agree. But more then an irrelevant organization, it's an American, freedom hating instutition.
We should have no part of it.

No amount of spin can cover the utter hypocracy of this administration's mideast policy, and treatment of known terrorist organzation (PLO)

Ihad to work today, so I did not get to hear it. I have not read all of it, yet, but the part I did read sounds like he is tweaking the nose of the UN and its members - follow or get out of the way. WE ARE RIGHT!!!

The Democrats have their eye on the prize. President Bush has his eye on the ball, and he alone, it seems, is committed to winning the war on terror.Excellent comment. You really should be writing for the RNC!
I saw the entire seppech this morning and was absolutely riveted. Actually, I was very nervous before the speech, expecting him to sound weak. (I must have been listening to the news anchors too much.) But two sentences into the speech, I knew the president was fully in charge of his material and of the stupid UN too. He kicked som choice you-know-what.
I loved the recitations of the billions we give to their pathetic little countries and the straightforward reminder of the Marshall Plan, which bailed out the European jerks who now oppose our every move. Reading between the lines, it seems that Bush was threatening the UN, not so subtley in fact, to start doing their jobs or else those US billions could disappear. They got the message, I'm sure. But will they respond with honor and dignity? One can hope. But not too much.

Did you see Jim Angle catch him in the hall of the Senate building, and ask him what he meant by bribing? Teddie boy mentioned $$ to Turkey as example.

This is contemptible -- no wonder terrorist think they can attack the US and get by with it when we have morons like this in the United States Senate!
He is no doubt himself a contemptible human being, but those you should really be considering are those morons who keep voting him in office over and over again. He wouldn't be in our Senate if it were not for them!

I lived in MA for nine, long miserable months in the 80's before going to Texas because my kid's Dad was on an Industry assignment with the Air Force. I told him if he stayed at Hanscom AFB after the assignment was up, that the kids and I were leaving MA at the end of their school year with or without him. Was not going to raise my children in that state. Outside of NH, it had the worst school system my kids have ever attended!
Doesn't surprise me they would continue to elect Kennedy -- I lived around some of them that would vote for him without thinking over and over again. Nothing he could do would make those people not vote for him! Absolutely nothing!
As you can tell, the State of MA is not one of my favorite places to live -- probably near the bottom!

The RATS have their talking points and the media is carrying their sewer water for them. And there was Daschle being 'disappointed'.

Surely Bush's speech will rerun on C-Span. Does anyone have any info about a rerun. I could watch it a 2nd time it was so good.
To: OldFriend
One of the RATs is Fox Middle East analyst Ambassador Mark Ginsberg! Turns out he was Al Gore's foreign policy advisor, spoke at the 2000 DNC Convention, is an advisor to the current crop of RAT candidates, and most importantly an advisor to Al Jazerra!
Believe Fox should give its viewers a heads-up on just who these analyst really are and not pretend he is non-partisan! He is also part of the RATs speaker's bureau for foreign affairs!

No, darn it, I missed Angle accosting Kennedy.
However, I do remember that the President told us that he would use all tools at his disposal...which is what I thought the money to Turkey was. Rats don't understand that we are in this to win the war on terror, not to make nicey-nice with the rules people. I personally don't care if President Bush hires the Mafia for hits on these people. As far as I am concerned, I would think my tax money was well-spent.
