Don't call me sir. Makes me feel older than I am (or older than I care to admit, regardless of the calendar).
As for my "service to the nation," I need all the help I can get, from everyone who can do something -- recommending people who are in or near Western Carolina, making small contributions, getting information out on the Net, etc. So, please visit my website and help as you can.
Cordially,

As an NCO, to a Congressman, I would be required to at the least, render a minimal honorific. So I'm covered - Sir... ;)

People of a despotic nature don't like written Constitutions.
He "made his bones" as a state rep sponsoring a law that was contrary to the takings clause. Took the victim(s) ~21 years
to get to the USSC to overturn it.
Plus, it was reported yesterday that the "Cheapskate" is challenging a $76.01 charge on a late property tax payment.
Today's pro-Dean spiel is by a former co-tenant in a professional building that describes himself "left of Dean".
To: Bob J
Terrific advice.
Like Congressman BillyBob, I hope Dean doesn't take it!

Don't complain to me - complain to the Burlington [VT] [not-so] Free Press, a Gannet paper. In their subtitle, iirc.

Does Fayetteville fall within "Western Carolina"? I have a sister that lives near there.

You bet. Fayetteville is in my District. I'd be honored to meet your sister, let her figure out whether I might be a good Congressman, and receive her support. Please e-mail her, copy to me (links on my website) and we'll go from there.
This is EXACTLY the sort of person to person reference that I'm hoping a few thousand Freepers can make. Never underestimate the power of the Internet, especially in the hands of FReepers.

I take it back. A case of brain freeze. I've driven past Fayetteville on my way to Raleigh to do radio interviews with Jerry Agar on WPTF.
I'm running for Congress in the 11th District of NC. That's the western triangle of NC from Asheville west to Tennessee. I need all possible references to folks who live in this area.
