"Sorry, but this isn't a story. If Kerry said it, it would be one thing. A musician at a fundraiser, said something without Kerry's permission. Kerry might have been within 500 yards of him when he said it. Ooooh, how exciting! "

That argument would carry more weight if the "pottymouthed" musician in question haden't been hired to flap his mouth for KERRY'S fundraiser. As for the "Bush is a f&&#%", Kerry will never comment on it. However, he'll hire Moby again, and that is all the comment that is needed. Moby's show is Kerry's show when Kerry hires him. Especially when he gets onstage with him.

There is such a thing as tacit approval, and that is the issue here.

I had to wait 37 posts for someone to state the obvious: That argument would carry more weight if the "pottymouthed" musician in question haden't been hired to flap his mouth for KERRY'S fundraiser.

This speaks to Kerry's judgment, or lack thereof. Kerry could possibly have distanced himself by claiming his supporters hired Moby... he had nothing to do with it, knew nothing about it. But, by joining Moby onstage, he gave tacit approval, regardless of whether he knew what Moby was capable of singing or saying. If not tacit approval, Kerry clearly illustrated that he was too lazy or dumb to do advance work on Moby, or consider the consequences of sharing the stage with an "unknown quantity."

Difference between a democrat and a republican. The democrat will never condemn what another democrat says (unless he is running against him). Biden this day on Fox never condemned Kennedy's comments about the president but swished around the dance floor re: the statement.

Republicans on the other hand will say in public that they disagree with what another republican said or did.
