(I mean, it doesn't HAVE to be taken as racial. There are the Duke Blue Devils, after all.) The Blue Man Group should sue.

So what is the racial makeup of Freedom High School?
In my humble opinion, this club is just a cry for attention, not a legitimate ethnic club.
Caucasians do not have a strong ethnic bondage similar to blacks or Hispanics.
On the other hand, Caucasians have always been members of exclusive ethnic clubs with natural bondage.
For instance, my wife is a member of the Danish-American Society and the Danish-American Chamber of Commerce. I have accompanied her to Danish-American conventions, and all I saw for the whole weekend was lily-white, tall, good looking people :-) [Yeah, I like long-legged, blonde Danish women]
I'm sure that an Italian-American club, or an Armenian-American club or a Greek-American club will have a much stronger raison d'etre than a Caucasian-American club.

Caucasians do not have a strong ethnic bondage similar to blacks or Hispanics. But why not? How are French, German, Greeks, Irish any less connected than Puerto Ricans, Spaniards, Guatemalans, Colombians, Argentinians? I can see how blacks might have a certain bond because most are descended from slaves but not the others.

Darnell Turner, first vice president of the local chapter of the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People. Turner says he thinks the club will create racial tension. In other words, it's ok for US to be exclusive, but not for whitey.

One person who won't be signing up is Darnell Turner, first vice president of the local chapter of the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People. Turner says he thinks the club will create racial tension. Everybody knows creating racial tension is the NAACP's job.

The local Yugo-slav club is only 25% Yugoslavian. The rest are people who wanted to get in on the parties.

The way I see it, there is a difference between a German-American club/Irish-American club and a Caucasian-American club.
I've been to Oktober Fest but I've never been to Caucasian Fest.
I go to St Patrick's Day celebrations but I've never been to St Caucasian Patron's parties.
Hispanics are made up of all races, therefore only a strong bond dealing with language, religion, and music can sustain an ethnic club for Hispanics; the same can be said about German-Americans and Greek-Americans, for instance.
Every year I go to the local Greek-American festival about the local Greek Orthodox Church, and I know what to expect.
I wonder what a Caucasian-American festival at a local Caucasian-American church will look like.

This is not good. The last thing we need in this country is for white people to start banding together because of their race. It is wrong that blacks do it, and I am not in favor of all the race-specific items that they come up with both politically and socially (Congressional Black Caucus, Miss Black America, etc.)
When whites start this sort of thing it is really the case of 2 wrongs don't make a right. Yes, whites are a minority on a global scale (only about 10% of the global population.) But a white racial movement in the US would be a set-back to all the things we say are wrong in race relations -- the race-centric politics and race specific serepations. Defining and seperating yourself because of your skin color is stupid no matter who does it. Better that we get past this condition rather than exascerbating it.

It'll be great! Balony sandwiches on white bread, Yankee Pot Roast, you know, all those ethnic foods. (Ethnic to me cuz I go home to beans and torillas.)
Alright Lisa! You go, girl!
