LITTLE ROCK, Ark. - Wesley Clark, the retired general with a four-star military resume but no political experience, decided Tuesday to become the 10th Democratic presidential candidate, officials close to him said.
Mark Fabiani, a spokesman for Clark, did not reveal the decision, but sources close to the former Army general said he told his fledgling campaign team that he's in the race. The announcement will be made at 1 p.m. EDT Wednesday in Little Rock, sources said.

So then there were 10 (drarfs). Cute, aren't they? Not up for prime time, of course, but good for the giggle factor.

I will continue to post on every Clark thread I see, the following link which outlines why Clark is UNFIT to hold any elected office. The man nearly started WWIII in Kosovo, stopped only by the refusal of clear-thinking British and American generals who refused to obey Clark's direct order to BOMB RUSSIAN TROOPS!
People often aren't aware of this. Find the link at:

Ex-Gen. Wesley Clark to Seek White HouseHe should seek a white room...with plenty of padding.
To: JohnGalt
Quite possibly. Two things may have driven his decision-making process.
1) Desire to curry favor with Bill.
2) Professional courtesy. A law enforcement 'authority' asked for back-up. General Spring-Butt sent the Imperial 1st Cav. A gross overreaction, but to the deracinated mind of Barracks Emporer Wesley Clark, the correct measure to take.

Of course, he'd enjoy eating the tasty white padding off the walls.

The military guys think Clark is a horse's ass. When he was Supreme Commander, NATO, he was sarcastically referred to as "The Supreme Being".
Which coincides with his own self-image.

No doubt about it, the man leaves chap-stick stains on every mirror in his quarters.

Wesley Clark, the retired general with a four-star military resume but no political experience Sorry, the jump from Colonel to General involves playing more than a little politics.

Alert: FReeper REQUEST We are preparing to launch a major anti-Clark website. We are seeking any valuable opposition research. If you have any juicy stuff, please reply privately.
And to those who have already assisted our efforts in advance of this expected decision, we thank you.

Poor Wesley Clark! So enamoured of the French position (i.e. Blasting Bush on the War in Iraq) that he thinks we're living in the early years of the Third Republic and he's General Boulanger -- the origin of the phrase 'Man on a [White] Horse'. Or, perhaps his hero is General George B. McClellan, who studied the French (thank him for the
kepis the Yankees wore) military and, though a great parade ground soldier, was notoriously inept in closing with and defeating the enemy during the Late Unpleasantness. McClellan, was short, and often compared to Napoleon before his various plans went awry. After being sacked, Little Mac became the Democrats' great white hope in the election of 1864 on a peace and appeasement platform.
I doubt Clark will be any more successful, having had an undistinguished career in the Army -- wait till other retirees unload on him -- and is tarred as Clinton's prime perfumed prince.

Yep, with Bradford out of the way - and more importantly, a credible 'stern reminder' to those living to keep quiet, he's free to run with Hillary.
And lose. But free to run.

General Spring-ButtGreat one. I haven't heard that term in a long time. In my OBC class at Ft. Sill, three decades ago, we used the term to refer to the suck-ups. At the awards ceremony when our class graduated, we presented a "Spring-Butt" award to the most obnoxious one in the class, as voted by secret ballot. We had a large coil spring sprayed with gold glitter paint and mounted on a foot high trophy base. The winner was not amused, but the BG who was the school commander, and the MG who was post commander, absolutely roared with laughter as the red-faced lieutenant was asked to come up and receive the award from the class.

Al Haig has already weighed in on him on Scarborough last week as being an incompetant and mediocre general. Maybe more to come by the likes of Norm Schwartzcopf and Tommy Franks.
To: gov_bean_ counter
Very true. He reminds me of the Admiral in HMS Pinafore.
"He polished up the door knob so carefully,
now he's the ruler of The Queens Navy."
Yep, some generals are very political.

As rabid and anti-war as the Democrats are right now, Clark's military experience may actually work against him. I can see some of the kooks calling him a baby killer.
Dean really seems to have the momentum and a huge cash advantage right now.
It's going to be fun to watch them all try to destroy each other.
