By November we have some morning cloud cover, and the temps are going to be mildly cool. If you wear dark clothing to the Veteran's Day Parade, you'll overheat because of the sun. By Thanksgiving, the afternoon highs have dropped into the upper 60's if I remember correctly.

I live at 5000', and so am considerably cooler than in the Phoenix/Scottsdale area. I rarely wear a jacket to work in November, long sleeves are sufficient. It doesn't get down to freezing overnight or in the mornings until at least mid-December, if not later (here). I used to walk to school in Phoenix, and the only time we had freezing temperatures was for about 2 weeks in the middle of January.

The only time I've been to Phoenix was in January (1994). I don't remember the temps, only that because I was acclimated to temps on the west coast of Ohio, I never had to wearing anything more than a light jacket. (I think seeing flowers in bloom IN JANUARY, NO LESS made it seem super-warm.) ;)
