Not gonna happen. Bush/Ashcroft have shown no interest, none at all, in pursuing government corruption.
Too bad.
They should have appointed Howard Stern to probe the 'Toons. Hillary wouldn't have remembered a thing but ol' Bill would have spilled his guts to Howard.
Excuse me...
The Bush administration has quietly done an about-face on allegations that New York Sen. Hillary Clinton broke campaign finance laws in 2000 - with the Justice Department preparing to extradite one-time Clinton fund-raiser Peter Paul to the U.S. as part of a plea deal for his testimony... The sudden action on Paul's case comes just weeks after reports surfaced that former Hollywood fund-raiser Aaron Tonken has supplied damaging testimony about Hillary Clinton's fund-raising practices.
FBI/DoJ has been working on this since June of 2002 when they raided her warehouse. As we all know, the case will have to be air tight, hence the thorough investigation which has taken place over the last year. Bush originally made a deal with the Dems that he would not pursue charges against the Clintons IF they worked with him in a bipartisan manner on legislation and judicial appointments. The Dems have reneged on their promise. Bad move on their part.
