We've rebuilt that beach at Sandbridge rather nicely...but I still doubt there'll be much left if this thing hits.

If you are left, that is really the only important thing. The rest is sad but not anything like drowning or blowing away.

We had a hell of a house rented but it had no beach at high tide, in fact the waves actually broke on the deck if it was a little stormy.

Somebody asked earlier if they expect the tunnels to flood if this comes ashore in the Norfolk area. I never saw an answer, but I can't imagine how they wouldn't.
That means that at some point, as the storm approaches, they will have to shut them down and re-route traffic.
