Mine used to be 143, but I took this test recently and the result was 132. Maybe it's age, maybe it's diet coke.

Ah ha! Squared. Well, that makes a lot of sense to the math impaired! LOL!

I actually guessed 900 (my reasoning was because it was the first one in the group) -- go figure!!

Right. This was covered in the questions about two cars on a straight highway start at the same point, drive 6 miles and turn left (presumably 90 degrees) and drive 8 miles. How far apart are they? 36 + 64 = 100. The hypoteneuse is 10. so each car is 10 miles from its original point, or the cars are 20 miles distant. Good old euclidean geometry...

ROFL!! Looking at some of the scores compared to mine, I'm inclined to agree!

Mine used to be between 144 and 146. It dropped during the Clinton administration. This test gave me a 133 :/

I scored a 133. Here is what it said:

We also compared your answers with others who have taken the test. According to the sorts of questions you got correct, we can tell your Intellectual Type is a Word Warrior. This means you have exceptional verbal skills. You can easily make sense of complex issues and take and unusually creative approach to solving problems. Your strengths also make you a visionary. Even without trying you're able to come up with lots of new and creative ideas.

I have to say without sounding pompous this pretty accurately describes me.

BTW 4mycountry, what are you doing on the computer at 10:30 on a saturday morning?

142. It called me a visionary philospher too. I reckon that's different from non-visionary philosopher.

Now that you brought it up...I seem to recall that these 2 cars were facing each other. All I could see in my mind's eye was an ugly crash when they turned left.....????

Age is always a factor in a true psychometric test. Usually, after the teen years other variables have to be factored in or the math of the formula makes an Einstein look like the village idiot.

If you are over 30 and taking one of these tests, it wouldn't be a bad process to add 20 or so points to the results.

Bill Clinton

He just doesn't strike me as very smart, neither does Gore. Clinton seems just like some kind of overly slick (slimey) used car salesman that manages to con even some smarter people than he is.
