Dave rules!!!!!! I have some of his best nights literally on tape. My friend and I are putting together a page dedicated to Schwartz. He is a late night B Rated weather king. Some of his stories I have down are just hilarious. One night he came on so drunk he went on for 5 mins and absolutely...not one single bit of weather was discussed. Just how amazing the isobars looked and how tight they were. Not one forecast given.

I think the flood was a few years after Fran (?). passed thru eastern Carolina (Princeville, etc) on the way to the Outer Banks. To this day there are abandoned homes left from that 100 year flood.

Not turning north is just fine by me. I feel for Floridians, but if someone's going to get whacked no matter what, I'd prefer it wasn't me ;)

If you knew how much I pay each year for windstorm insurance, you'd be a bit more sympathetic. Let this baby swing north!

Besides, if my power is knocked out, I may not be able to freep for a week or two. You'd miss me.

I don't know how to post a Java image, if it's possible, so I'm just sending a link.

BS. You'd be on in half a day, with a generator and a satellite connection ;)

Eugene Levy(2nd City TV) absolutely has to play him in "American Weather Channel".

Actually shouldn't we be following Rush's lead, and as politically sensitive citizens refer to Isabel as 'Hurricane Sheila Jackson Lee'?

I'm leaving for vacation at Myrtle Beach tommorrow.

When at a beach, I am a magnet for rotten weather.

I advise anyone living on the South Carolina/southern North Carolina coastline to board up their homes & evacuate ASAP.

The eye of Isabel will hit North Myrtle Beach early enough in the week to trash my whole vacation.

Book it.
