One of my proudest moments was a day later when my son and I decided to go back in and dig. Everyone was saying that we wouldn't get in, don't try. They were wrong. We drove to Brooklyn, walked across the Manhattan Bridge, down through Chinatown, behind the courts and right to the site where we did get the chance to help. At one point we were side by side in the pit moving dust by hand while smoke curled from everywhere. I say it was one of my proudest moments but my pride comes from knowing that my son got chased out but went right back in and that my wife is the kind of woman who knew that we had to go and stood behind us.

You have a wonderful family. Your story of courage and determination to help that day is greatly admired.
It is why the terrorists can never win. Americans don't quit when the going gets tough and are the most giving people on the face of the planet.

(The Clintons have pardoned more terrorists than they ever captured or killed.)
