I still have the USA today from Sep. 12th sitting on my desk as a reminder, with the full page picture of one of the planes hitting the WTC. I haven't moved it in two years. I left the Pentagon about 10 minutes before the plane hit and didn't know what happened until I got back to my office. My office is near Dulles airport in Wash. DC and I remember how everyone reacted when a plane would fly over our bldg. as they tried to get them all on the ground. Then there was silence. I got used to hearing planes fly over about every five minutes. Except for the sound of the F-16's overhead, it was silent. May God show no mercy on those terrorist bastards and their evil religion!

Although there was a memorial service for Barbara Olson in the DC area, she's buried in a small cemetery in northern Door County. Ted Olson's family is from there, and she and Ted would spend their summers at their cottage in Door County. She loved the area so much that when she was asked to be a commentator on TV, she'd make them come to where she was, rather than leave the cottage and go to a studio in Green Bay.
Thinking about Barbara and the rest of the victims of 9/11 makes me tear up. My heart is so heavy today.

I hadn't known that about Barbara. Thank you for personalizing her even more.
My heart grieves for those families who lost a loved.
Thankfully, my heart also soars when I remember the bravery of our soldiers and the wisdom of our administration.

Yes, I finally saw it on ABC this morning - although it pained me to go to that network.

Today is my birthday as well. It's a sick day to celebrate another year of life when so many lost theirs. What upsets me the most is seeing their pictures. Their faces are all so pretty with the best smiles possible. They all look so happy.
I think today is Ted Olson's birthday as well. Isn't that why Barbara stayed a day later? I think she wanted to be with him on this day two years ago for breakfast.

Yup, right about then, two years ago, I called my dad on the phone saying, "Hey, turn on the phone. You gotta see this." Then we both watched together as we saw the second strike. Unforgettable.

Happy Birthday Ted.
"That night, a grieving Olson was surrounded by friends and family at the couples home in Great Falls, Va. When he finally went upstairs to bed, he found something that Barbara had left him that morning on his pillow. It was a note wishing him a Happy Birthday. It was Olsons 61st."

It would be so unfair if there was another 9-11.

It does seem that time is putting out the fire in the belly of America! Less footage of the planes crashing, less footage of the Pentagon attack, etc. It is pathetic the way the Democrats banded together with the Bush administration that day to denounce terriorism and now look at them!!! They have selfishly abondoned the fight!
