Actually the truth doesn't matter around Free Republic anymore, from what I've noticed. Any charge is free game to be repeated ad nauseum whether factual or not, proven or disproven.
Political agenda comes before truth now... whoopie!

The meaning of your post is not clear to me. But if you are calling Dubya a traitor, I wish I could reach right through my monitor and throttle you.

In fairness, I think Heleny has a good question here. Any reaction to that. I may have been mistaken in my original thought on this. It may have just been a quote as Heleny suggests.
To: Amerigomag
or will I vote for Davis and my candidate? Any Republican that votes for Davis or by omission of action votes for Bustamante should be tarred and feathered.

We shall never know the truth from or about Ambrose. Comes with his type of territory. He's inconsistent and he likes to disrupt that's for sure.

Jeez guys, Ambrose has been on since 1998. You think he's been a plant that long in anticipation of the Recall Situation?
To: Chancellor Palpatine
After the 98 election, I read an article by Safire. He said, almost verbatim, "It is OK for social conservatives to vote republican, as long as they don't insist anyone pays any attention to them They need to get to the back of the bus and let the adults drive."
That seems to be the attitude of liberal republicans everywhere. It is OK for those concerned about gun control, abortion, illegal immigration, and the decay of our society to vote for the republicans the liberals select, but NOT ok for them to want any action on the issues that motivate them.
And then the economic republicans complain if the social conservatives lack enthusiasm. Hello?
Arnold had one shining moment talking about taxes - other than that, he's spit on everything I believe...and then wonders why I'm not an enthusiastic supporter. If the next gov of CA despises everything I believe in, why should I care if there is an R or a D next to his name?
To: Poohbah; ambrose
Providing a link is not enough. You didn't indicate that the statement was a quotation. I think you should drop the arguing. The post said "From ...blogspot.com..." before the rest of the post, which was presented as news for those who didn't know which judges got to hear the cast. Some people miss critical details when skimming. It's easy to do, so it's very understandable.
ambrose probably should have used <blockquote>, but he didn't, and many other Freepers don't use that or even <i> when quoting others. There's no required syntax on FR.

1. ambrose did not indicate it was a quote when he posted it; there were no quotation marks.
2. ambrose was not immediately forthcoming on whether it was his or not.
3. When he was finally treed, he came up with a very convenient explanation.
Mr. Hasen has had a nice run on FR. Some people actually believed he was a conservative. But it's over.

thanks! You wear many hats, Rick Hasen, Dan Weintraub, or whoever. :)Maybe the Arnold supporters can email Professor Hasen and ask him he's ambrose on the Free Republic, who has at various times accused Clinton of rape, murder and treason. I'd be delighted to see his response.

Now that's an interesting point when discussing the factual nature of charges involving this individual. He's been posting lies and half-truths across this forum for weeks. It didn't bother him a bit when that fact was brought to his attention.
Still, I'm not content to play by the same rules others do.
To: heleny
He should've used quotation marks.

Gee, I don't know. LarryLied was a FReeper here from March, 1998 until a swarm managed to get him banned in late 2002. In other words, "time on" doesn't matter much or tell us much, now does it?
