Prayers requested for nephew, son of FReepers

My nephew, Jordan, who is the son of fellow FReeper InGodWeTrust, is having open heart surgery at Children's Hospital of Wisconsin tomorrow, Sept 4. Jordan is 13 and contracted a very severe case of Rheumatic fever, which has attacked and damaged two of his heart valves. The surgeons will have to repair/replace them both in surgery expected to last 5+ hours. My sister and her husband are scared to death, Jordan is being very brave, and Auntie (me)has decided the best thing I could do for all of them is to ask for prayers for successful surgery and speedy recovery.

Thanks, and God Bless every one of you.

Thanks for your prayers for Jordan. He is doing well so far. Only a little fluid in the lungs which they are treating. Will be in ICU through the weekend.

".....The heart valves were both repaired rather than replaced, which will eliminate the need for blood thinners and allow Jordan to live a more active, normal life without fear of causing bleeding......"

Better & better!!!!! A friend of mine's wife has a valve and a pacemaker........they require maintenance, replacement, monitoring.......and she was just in for open heart surgery because of infection due to a 'dirty' pacemaker that introduced a staph infection into her.

Heavenly Father,

We return to give You thanks for Your wonderful healing that You are sending to Jordan. Thank You for the tremendous spirit that he is showing and the grateful heart that he has. Thank You, Lord, that when we place our trust in You, You never fail us. May Your blessings and healing continue to surround Jordan and his family. In the Name of Jesus Christ, Amen.

Hey, Trust! Things are really looking up for Jordan each passing day, aren't they?

Let us know when he's up and around the hospital hall, dragging his tubes behind him!

The heart valves were both repaired rather than replaced, which will eliminate the need for blood thinners and allow Jordan to live a more active, normal life without fear of causing bleeding.

That is SWEET!

Saturday a.m. update. Jordan continues to make progress. Today his chest tubes were removed, he sat in a chair for a few minutes, and he's being moved out of ICU. The primary concerns are still infection and pneumonia, but both are being watched carefully.

I will always beleive the prayers of so many have helped immensely. My humblest of thanks to all who have taken time out of their day to send a prayer for Jordan.
