I must have watched Death Wish III about a million times. Is that the one where he says, "It's My car..." And that campy ending where they are going down the alley shooting everyone?
We laughed and laughed. Loved that film.

I saw him in "Once Upon A Time In The West" 4 or 5 days ago. I had seen it before a few years ago; but it was on back last week. It was more than half over; but after hearing about CB's illness, and impending death; I paid more attention to his performance than I had before.
It's funny, but I actually think I appreciate them and their talent even more, when they are seriously ill, or when they've died! I don't know why. I can really like an actor's work, and be a big fan; but enjoy them even more then. Sometimes I might not be a particularly big fan before; but I see them with more interest, when I see what they put into the charactors they play.
This guy was a fine actor I realized over a period of time, and watching him for awhile. I do remember him in "Death Wish", and in "From Noon Until Three". That was a wierd little movie! Kind of an odd little romantic comedy! Also the one you mentioned, about the man guarding the First Lady, played by Jill Ireland.

What a dynamite actor. He'll really be missed.
Loved every movie of his that I saw!

I loved him in Once Upon a Time in the West. I loved him in Death Wish. He will be missed.
Gotta love this though, his sense of humor:
"Bronson told Reuters' Robert Basler in a 1985 interview that he knew what entertained him in a film, and it was not Charles Bronson.
"I am not a fan of myself."
In that interview, Bronson was promoting "Death Wish 3," a film he said was "nearly the same as the two Death Wishes that came before."

I saw something on Fox, and I would have sworn they said he was dead. I even told my daughter. I loved him in so many movies. I was sad to hear he had Alzheimers. We seem to be losing so many to that dread disease.

God bless Charles Bronson. I loved his movies and his tough guy persona. There's no one out there today in hollywood that matches him (what a bunch of pygmies). He would literally and figuratively mop up the floor with any of them. He had a real 'edge" about him that was the result of hard times and early poverty. This made him seem more real than other actors in general, and made him seem menacing at times. He was a real man who didnt get in your face with touchy-feely liberalism like these hollywood creeps do today.

Sad news indeed!I guess we're stuck with movies where the lack of acting talent is covered up with special effects.

Worked as a summer intern at Fox News in their research department. I'll probably be back there next summer.

I read her book Life Lines and Bronson was a very private person, but she lets you in on a little bit of their life. Jill Ireland was a lovely woman and great actress and I heard he had a cane with her ashes in it that he kept? Bronson was a great one.

Oh yeah, it's classic!
To: ILBBACH
Oh yes, can't forget the Dirty Dozen. Total classic. I've seen that term used in the media for all kinds of things more times than I can shake a stick at. "Dirty Dozen" is a household name all the way. Great flick!

mea culpa...did I get that right :O)
It's sad to see him go...I doubt we'll ever again see the likes of Bronson, Wayne, Heston...etc...on the big screen.

He married actress and producer Jill Ireland in 1958, who had two sons with her first husband, David McCallum. That date is not correct. I think it should be 1968. She was married to David McCallum when he was the heart-throb Ilya, and only divorced him after that.
I liked the movieFrom Noon til Three in which he played opposite Jill Ireland. It was very sad when she died of cancer. I'm glad he had re-married later.
