Ping for the week. Use this thread. Until Bushdude takes over, I'll just do this, but i can't make the show daily.
Did anyone read the article in GQ about Savage? It was great until the writer started in with his homo-stuff.
Also, here's a link to another station...

Savage might give him a 'hollywood idiot' IF he gets the story.
I wonder how many talented kids out there with right-of-center beliefs have just written off show business because of these maniac weirdos. The thing is, I don't even think half of these actors are sincere, I think they do it out of fear. Fear of losing their careers.

Did anyone read the article in GQ about Savage? It was great until the writer started in with his homo-stuff. What homo stuff?
To: Dr. Scarpetta
At the end of the article, The writer mentions a literary work by Savage, never released, in which the protagonist had homosexual fantasies or something like that...or it might've been a passage that Savage once wrote...whatever the case may be, it really had nothing to do with the man, the message, nor his show and it was something that the writer fixated on, just like all journalists do.
Anything that has to do with sexuality, especially if deviant, is brought to the forefront. It was really pathetic, but all in all, I enjoyed the article. Check it out in GQ, the issue with Johnny Knoxville on the cover.

The world is turned upside down. I tune in every day and am bummed when he has a replacemnet - on monday and was bummed all evening! He has my favorite show - I like Rush but he isn't hungry anymore, though I'm a loyal listener. I like Hanity but it's the same canned responses all the time. I recently discovered Medved and we are on the same page in many ways, and I like his show a lot also.
Doc Savage - forget it. I feel very simpatico with Doc, what can I say? He is maybe 25 or 30 years older than me, but I almost always an nodding my head in agreement of laughing very hard at his wisecracks! I am a NYC guy too and some of his remarks (re: Brooklyn, running a bra shop in Canarsie, etc) floor me! He bridges the generations! Doc simply rules!

Your post is so right on. I listen to others, but they are boring. Savage is so unpredictable and with his education, it's hilarious when he gets angry. The stuff that comes out of his mouth when he's mad is so educated, i mean, he'll rip on you in ways comedians can't because he's so intelligent.
I enjoyed the article in GQ at the end where he said that he may go to recording albums after writing books.
I'll be honest with you, I think he's funnier than Lenny Bruce ever was and more profound than Allen Ginsberg.
To me, he's a legend. He was off days, but for the most part, he's great.
I haven't heard Medved, but will try to tune in. Medved has always impressed me on t.v. and I love his columns.
BUT, Savage gets it on and gets busy. Savage comes to rage and rumble on the air. He friggin' produces!

Hey pal,
I don't know Phil Hendrie, is he any good? I lived in NYC for years and listened to Rush from the late 80s (I remember when he first came on in fact) and always enjoyed Bob Grant.
I really connect with Doc - I laugh a lot during his program. He has a great delivery and sardonic wit, which I enjoy a lot. Doc Savage rules the airwaves!

If you haven't heard him, I wouldn't recommend him. He had a great comedy show, but lately, he changed his bumper music to metal and tried to do Savage style rants and he bombs big time.
Don't sweat it. I was just wondering if you'd heard him before. Forget it though, it's not important.

Savage, find the latino jazz band spots. Classy, older crowd that loves to Salsa! And some of these older women that Salsa are pretty voluptuous, buxom and fine.
