The world is turned upside down. I tune in every day and am bummed when he has a replacemnet - on monday and was bummed all evening! He has my favorite show - I like Rush but he isn't hungry anymore, though I'm a loyal listener. I like Hanity but it's the same canned responses all the time. I recently discovered Medved and we are on the same page in many ways, and I like his show a lot also.
Doc Savage - forget it. I feel very simpatico with Doc, what can I say? He is maybe 25 or 30 years older than me, but I almost always an nodding my head in agreement of laughing very hard at his wisecracks! I am a NYC guy too and some of his remarks (re: Brooklyn, running a bra shop in Canarsie, etc) floor me! He bridges the generations! Doc simply rules!

Your post is so right on. I listen to others, but they are boring. Savage is so unpredictable and with his education, it's hilarious when he gets angry. The stuff that comes out of his mouth when he's mad is so educated, i mean, he'll rip on you in ways comedians can't because he's so intelligent.
I enjoyed the article in GQ at the end where he said that he may go to recording albums after writing books.
I'll be honest with you, I think he's funnier than Lenny Bruce ever was and more profound than Allen Ginsberg.
To me, he's a legend. He was off days, but for the most part, he's great.
I haven't heard Medved, but will try to tune in. Medved has always impressed me on t.v. and I love his columns.
BUT, Savage gets it on and gets busy. Savage comes to rage and rumble on the air. He friggin' produces!
