Bump to you Joe!!!
Wednesday: Illegal aliens and Medicaid
They broke the law to bust through Americas borders. So why are some illegal aliens now eligible for Medicaid? Scarborough Country. Tonight at 10 on MSNBC.

First, stop letting Mexican government officials pass out illegal I.D. cards to illegal immigrants. We can't stop what Mexican government officials do. But we can pass laws that forbid those cards from being accepted as legal ID, and to consider possession of such a card, in absense of other U.S. immigration paperwork to be probable cause that the holder is an illegal alien.

In a previous FR post, we discusses the AZ Supreme Court and Medicaid. The AZSC extended Medicaid coverage to all illegals regardless of the severity of care required. It used to cover, by law, only lifesaving measures in emergency rooms. It must now be provided for coverage of everything from hangnails to hangovers. It's time to hammer our state elected officials.

BTW I've never heard Joe use the word "foreigner" when referring to illegal immigration. Sounds like MSNBC's own characterization.

Vicente Fox is running the show, it seems. Coward George Bush won't speak out against our porous borders and the millions of illegal aliens who cross it yearly. It seems to be part of his insane globalization plan, no matter what Americans want. The number of illegal aliens we're forced to support would fill a small country.

I heard the following report yesterday on WGN news.
From Today's Metro Brief Sun-Times
Day laborers told to leave site
Day laborers in Albany Park who have been fighting to stay at a temporary work site on North Pulaski were told by the city Tuesday they must move to a Kmart parking lot at Addison and Central Park. Jessica Aranda of the Latino Union of Chicago, which has taken up the laborers' cause, said they were taken by surprise Monday afternoon when city workers started clearing the site at the same time Aranda and other representatives were meeting with Commissioner Ray Vasquez of the city's Human Services Department. But Vasquez said he made it clear at the meeting that the Chicago Park District, which owns the lot in the 5100 block of North Pulaski, was going ahead with plans to develop the site into a riverwalk and that laborers needed to move to the Kmart site about three miles away. The Pulaski lot has been a point of contention between Albany Park workers and the city for months, as both sides have tried to agree on a permanent location where laborers could flag jobs. Aranda said workers will protest the move to Kmart and remain at the Pulaski site.
Note:
These worker's are mostly illegal, the Latino Union states that on WGN. They make $10-$15 an hour, no taxes! More than many Americans earn! The Union is fighting for them, the city has been breaking their backs to accomodate them! This crazy lib city!

Yet, another sad story from today's Chgo. Trib. Sad but also shows what poster's have been saying about gang violence and illegals.
7-year-old girl taught value of a full life
Gangs condemned in wake of slaying
By Gayle Worland
Tribune staff reporter
August 27, 2003
Three days before Ana Mateo's life began, her mother crossed the border from Mexico to find a new beginning in the United States.
And only the day before Ana's life was cut short last week by a stray bullet fired in a gang dispute, the 7-year-old asked her family to cross another boundary--one that separates her neighborhood from two swaths of hostile gang territory--so she could pray at the Our Lady of the Millennium statue temporarily located at 18th Place and Paulina Street on Chicago's West Side.
Ana, too young to fully understand the dangers of crossing gang lines, nonetheless defied the barriers in her path, Rev. Brendan Curran said Tuesday as 200 people, many of them young children, gathered in Pilsen's St. Pius V Catholic Church to say goodbye to her.
"Ana refused to be blocked by any obstacles," said Curran, adding that the girl had told her kindergarten teacher she wanted to grow up to be a lawyer so she could help immigrant families like her own.
"We have to remember one obstacle more," Curran said in his bilingual homily: the gang-induced terror that holds families hostage in their own neighborhood.
"The criminals . . . should not have the final word," he said. "As we shed our tears and shed our anger, how can we remember what she told us?"
The 70-minute mass, conducted primarily in Spanish, drew families with restless toddlers and adults in worn jeans as a band with guitars, flute and accordion played sacred music in the style of Ana's ancestral home.
The service made her sad, said Yanira Jamaica, 10, who lives not far from where Ana was shot while playing outdoors with other children on a hot summer night.
The neighborhood no longer feels safe to her, Yanira said, and Ana's death has taught her "to not go outside at night."
Ana was hit by a stray bullet at 12:30 a.m. Aug. 20 outside her home in the 2300 block of West 18th Place. The next day, police announced a zero-tolerance crackdown on two street gangs whose members have been directly linked to the slaying, said police spokesman Patrick Camden.
"The incident itself is still under investigation, and we're continuing to follow up on some leads," Camden said Tuesday.
Ana's mother was nine months pregnant when she crossed into the U.S. from Tijuana in November 1995, and Ana, the youngest of four children, was born three days later. A photo of Ana, printed on pink fliers handed out to the mourners, showed a puckish girl with an irresistible smile, bright eyes and shiny, dark shoulder-length hair cascading from a headband.
Ana, who was a pupil at Cooper Dual Language Academy, is survived by her parents, Federico and Maria; a brother, Edgar; and two sisters, Aurora and Evelyn.
The family members "are handling themselves very courageously," Curran said after the funeral. Fears in the neighborhood after Ana's death are credible, he said, but "we need to affirm the wonderful young people who are staying here in the face of it.
"We're going to keep talking about [the violence] and keep fighting it, block by block."

Noone unable to prove US citizenship should ever receive Federal Assistance from 'welfare' programs. They don't pay in. They shouldn't receive any pay out.
