How 'bout "carry", as in, "My son is commin over to carry me to town".
Or "built" instead of "made" ,as in: "I built me some new kitchen curtains over the weekend."
It should be "I sewed the curtains whilst my husband, boyfriend, handyman (whatever) built the cabinets.
