Much of (Arnolds) strategy is based on cross over appeal to non-Republican voters given his comparitvely moderate views on issues such as gun control, abortion and gay rights.

But less than two weeks into his first run for elected office, Schwarznegger has already become a politically polarizing figure.

Roughly seven in ten Democratic voters have an unfavorable impression of the action-movie star, while the same number of likely Republican voters expressed a favorable view.

The actor won the support of 39% of likely Republican voters, 20% of Independents, and 7% of Democrats polled.

McClintock recieved 21% of the Republican vote, Simon recieved 12% and Uberroth 10%.

Sarah Brady, Diane Feinstein, Chuckie Schumer, Andrew Cuomo, Bill Clinton, and Al Gore are all "pro-gun"; for themselves......

I have to go by those subtle little inner soul touches like McClintock mocking Ah-Noldt's speech in public, but in on the TV network 11pm news.

A great resume and sound Conservative fiscal policies, pro-gun agenda, and a pro-life platform would have put Mr. Steve "17% Flat Tax" Forbes into the White House.

Forbes even has a bigger and better mint condition collection of antiquey Colt forearms than I do; but I have the real hoglegs that did the deeds and made the history along with the vintage leather that carried them; I also can use them far better then their original owners over 100 years ago. It ain't an accident either.

Hold your breath on Steve making the WH.

Forbes is great, but he cannot swing those numbers like GW and McClintock cannot pull the massive votes that Ah-Noldt will get.

Fortunately, all the purist Conservative nay-sayers will not outnumber all the lib/dems, new voters, minorities, star-gazing, moderates, Conservatives, and whoever that will be drawn to Ah-Noldt's name on the ballots just as they are drawn to him on the street.

These are hostile terrorist territories in California.

It requires Special Ops.

It requires a win.

It's hard to believe how many Conservatives and Libertarians here on FR are so set for McClintock and would rather see AZTLAN Bustamante as their next Cal-Mex Commandante then Ah-Noldt if McClintock does not show a winning hand.
is a Chicano without a US birth certificate and without naturalization documents; a foreign citizen.

When you go hunting in the dark you need the sharpest of senses and the keenest of instincts; you need natural ability and lifelong instant killer skills.

Ah-Noldt has that.

And a ready made voter base from incredible public recognition.

The others may all be well qualified, but faint record of success and top level election performance does not win fair lady.

This is a Carlos Hathcock job.

One shot

One kill

With a few cartridges for the three others!

The fat lady is warming up her tonsils right now!

Just another reason to quit California. Idiots, lefty liberals, "culture diversity" yo-yo's, Hollywood money and labor unions will vote for Bustamante. He is aided by BIG INDIAN GAMBLING money ( can you say PUBLIC CORRUPTION boys and girls ?) and the "hispanic" vote. Bustamante is very open about his proposed 8 BILLION in TAX increases. He calls it "tough love"!! I call it socialism.

My theory:

Run Arnold as Governor

Put in McClintock as Lt. Gov. (thus asking him to withdraw from the race)

That should keep everyone happy!

But as many on FR have shown, they hate the GOP to begin with and would rather have a Democrat in office to yell at in the first place.

That is spin. Many people on this board just happen to value a good many positions that Schwarzenegger does not hold.

I understand that. (After all, McClintock is GOP as well.)

I am talking about many, many issues and posters I have come across on FR that despise the GOP, George Bush, and other conservatives on those issues. (My FR home page lists just a small sample.)

This is the essence of FR... ( at least I hope it still is ) That everyone can come and engage in a free and sometimes wild political discourse.

This is not an "only like us " only forum - diverse viewpoints are welcome and it gets really boring when they don't show up.

Very...VERY rarely have the "powers that be" pulled what I might consider a ligitemate thread. and that is their right
.. they own the floor...

How can you defeat the enemy if you do not engage them ?

"Put in McClintock as Lt. Gov. (thus asking him to withdraw from the race) "

Might be a problem as Bustamente has not resigned as Lt.Gov.
and the is no provision for his removal....

I don't trust the L.A. Slimes polls anymore than I trust Hillary Clinton. I want to see some other polls before putting any stock in whats going on in this race. The fix is in if the other polls are vastly different from the Slimes poll. Voter fraud will be massive unless we have poll watchers checking up on things.

Heard the one about the frog who goes happier to the boil when the temperature goes up slowly? Think of CA libs as frogs. It's not hard to do.

Of course I have. Ever hear the one about the tortoise and the hare? Check out the latest poll numbers for McClintock and add those for Simon, who just dropped out. This represents a change of about 14% in a matter of days. Momentum is actually a factor in elections. Arnold may be losing his just as McClintock is rising. There's still plenty of time for Arnold to shoot himself in the foot somehow, or for the Democrat slime machine to manage some effective smear. That's far more likely to elect Bustamante than conservatives backing McClintock until such time as it MAY be necessary to switch allegiances. If McClintock eventually outpolls Arnold, what will you do? Continue to pound on the "Arnold is electable, McClintock isn't" drum?

I think you're trying to say "and your point?" Your German needs work.

I take it this means you don't care much for the "English Only" initiatives either?

The point is, rather than trying to counter my argument, you attack me and McClintock supporters personally (Damn you can be suckered in easy - guess it's typical of Tom's supporters).

Rather liberal of you, and the rest of the FReepers are watching.

Have a nice day.

:-)

Hb<=== standing by for racist and xenophobe accusations, which would further prove my point.

Sure, but there is NO time for McClintock to get the Dems that will crossover to Arnold that we MUST have to win the election.

Tom against Cruz LOSES ... No matter if Arnold runs or not...

Oh, and by the way, here is a little something from your personal page:

Why are you here ?

Hope to find something you can use against my logic ? --

Fool- deal with the subject and rethink your arguments instead of attempting a personal attack.

Does this sound like someone who expects to have a lot in common with FReepers, or does it sound like a mole who expects a lot of opposition?

Did you just call FReepers "fool"?

You are busted my friend.

Wake up California!!!!!

excusez moi

I lost just what argument you were trying to make when it became important to you where/who I was ( must have not been very impressive)

Could you please point me back to where it was before you started getting personal with your arguments?

Innoculated is the word.

I completely agree and am not calling for anyone to be censored or banned by any means as long as they are legitimate (i.e. not trolls). That being said, one of my biggest beliefs in politics is that the conservative movement has made great strides in many, many areas over the last couple decades because it has routed out the fringe right elements once pretending to be conservatives and giving the whole movement a bad name. Our ability to isolate these bozos has led to great success whereas it is what is crippling the DNC and the Left on the national level.

I guess you missed the part where I said:

FReepers aren't as easy to manipulate as liberals

Jim was a genius when he made it impossible to edit or delete one's posts.

FReepers will read this thread. They can decide on their own, and spread the word.

And you're still busted. Buh-bye.
