Well ---- that is up to the forum --- they can decide. I just think Catholics need to keep in mind the real reason people can make these comments ---- the bishops really did allow some horrible things to go on. I can't be an apologist for what happened, even if I still attend Mass.

I'm glad you are not an apologist and I hope your church has success at cleaning itself up. I have been dismayed by the lack of calling homosexual predation what it is.

Like you, I'm not disturbed by the priest's fate but I would not call for wholesale slaughter in prison like some have here in their not terribly thought out glee.

I'm impressed by FITZs comments as well. Hopefully the media blitz and moral outrage will convince the bishops to drop pedophile priests like hot potatoes.

Some FReepers are just bigoted morons with comments like that, but the real problem lies with the Bishops. Don't cover for evil.
