I agree.
This is NOT justice.
Conservatives believe in rule of law, not vigilanteism. Those of you cheering make me sick, you give conservatives a bad name!
He was a scumbag, but he didn't get a death sentence.
I hope the perpetrator is caught and prosecuted. Who will they determine they have the "right" to kill next?

He was a scumbag, but he didn't get a death sentence. That's what's wrong with our legal system.
Legislators with no principles or backbones.
Wimpy judges.

Whether we cheer it or not, that's the way of the prison world.
Pedophiles are not treated well.
Rats shouldn't expect to not get struck when they enter the vipers pit.

Correct, but who feels bad that he died? I believe he was unrepentant to the end.

He will. Inmates can't keep their mouths shut.

Conservatives believe in rule of law, not vigilantism. This was neither. It was merely a murder committed in prison. Nothing more, nothing less. To impart some kind of political or moral meaning to this incident is to see that which is not there.

I think a fitting punishment for the perpetrator would be to reprimand him and then quietly transfer him to another prison.

Conservatives believe in Freedom and Justice. "Law" is neither. It's laws that bankrupted California, killed 6,000,000 Jews, allows Nambla to exist.
Just because "The Law" says the State can't kill pedophiles anymore does not mean that "The Law" is correct. Until recently, rape got you a ride in "Old Sparky", and if it was a child they turned down the voltage so you cooked longer . If a pedophile is dancing with the Devil, because a felon has children, why is "The Law" right and the felon wrong?

People who approve of Geoghan's murder on this thread are hypocritical cowards. Funny how none of these folks who are now saying that "he got what he deserved" were willing to kill the bastard themselves.
"It's good to see him dead, as long as the deed is done by some nameless, faceless sh!t in a state prison."

"Who will they determine they have the 'right' to kill next?"I'd like to ask every single supporter of 'pro-choice' abortion that very same question.

"Conservatives believe in rule of law, not vigilanteism. Those of you cheering make me sick, you give conservatives a bad name!" I have agree with you on the merits. But this pervert caused more damage and verbal persecution of the Catholic Church than anyone else in history. You could cause the harm he perpetrated on the Church had you sat for 40 years and tried to devise a plan of destruction. There are are many Catholic priests out there who won't wear the Roman collar in public for fear of their safety. There isn't a day that goes by that the Catholic-bashing media don't have a feast on the homosexual rapes of minors that worms like Geogan performed. It's hard to feel much sympathy for this demon. May God have mercy on him.

You are right. This is not justice. But this is the way of life in American prisons. Always has been. He was a gonner the first day he arrived. And speak for yourself on "..what conservatives believe in." Now let's move along..Nothing to see here...

Conservatives believe in rule of law, not vigilanteism
In a country such as the United States where the law is for sale to the highest bidder or politically connected, vigilantism often substitutes for the rule of law. Is this a great country or what ?
As mcu as the legal profession expresses distaste for rough justice, it is a reflection of their failure to meet expectations for any justice.

He was a scumbag, but he didn't get a death sentence. But he should have. Child rapists should be executed for their good and the good of society. It would help clean off some of their karma (i.e. sin) and the world would be a safer place, since people who molest or rape kids do it repeatedly.
It's actually a crime that all child rapists aren't executed.

I agree, I can't believe the posters are cheering a murder! I don't care if they don't like the sentence he was given, he was sentenced to death, or even life in prison.
