And now you want at least 2-6 years of Bustamante. Great...

No, I want a conservative to win. Why shouldn't Arnold get out and back McClintock? McClintock's been fighting the fight in the Legislature for years - - - knows the budget better than anybody, could find and unearth the skeletons as soon as he got in the gov's office, --- why should somebody with his ability, knowledge and years of experience be pushed aside in favor of somebody who's been NOWHERE to help California during those same years -- merely because he's an actor? Sorry, I'm not that shallow. I see too much of this happening in all aspects of life today - - sexy surface style is preferred over convictions and substance. IT happens in the corporate setting, too -- and it degrades our culture, our quality of life. too bad there are "conservatives" on freerepublic who've bought into this intellectual and spiritual emptiness. Essentially, they've bought into part of the liberal lie, which says looks and image -- not substance and belief and hard work -- are what count.

I'll tell you why. Mathematics. A lot of Arnold's supporters are middle of the road. If he drops out, at least 33% of his voters will go to Bustamante. Bustamante will thus win. It's that simple. If you vote for McClintock, you are helping Cruz.
