Let's all aim at the enemy, not each other. Our play should be to brag about the fact that we have several great candidates. Talk about how great they both are, recognize they are not exactly alike, here are their ideas. Later we can decide from the right who should close on the enemy.

Ummmmmmm. . . didn't he also LOSE?

Aren't people also losers when they refuse to defend their own comments, as in how you refuse to defend this: "You say a lot of evil things about our President. I think you need to be held accountable for running your mouth and making these insulting, outragous claims. Like President Bush said, you're either with us or against us. I can only presume you're an enemy of this nation."

Is it true that you believe that anyone who makes comments that you deem 'evil' or 'outrageous' or even 'insulting' about the President must be 'held accountable' as an 'enemy of this nation'?

How would you hold them accountable? Would you torture them? Hold them at Gitmo? Deport them? Tell me your exact fascist plans for the 'enemies of the state'.

but it's hard to tell when your text is clanging against my eyeballs.

Your mixed metaphor rubs the salt in the mouth of my gift horse the wrong way.

Senor McClintock

Did you see today that Arnold has appointed a new advisor, anti-Proposition 187 leader Jerry Perenchio?

I would prefer a liberal Democrat in office than a liberal Republican.

All things being equal, I agree. However, all things are decidedly not equal in this case. Bustamonte is far to the left of Arnold, and a guy who has ties to a racist organization whose mission is to annex the whole of the American Southwest through demographics. A better friend to illegal aliens would be impossible to find.

I didn't see anything on immigration at the site. Where does he stand on immigration (both legal and illegal)?

Excellent question. A few people have told me they saw him on a talk show saying something about enforcing all the current immigration laws now on the books, but they were unable to dig up anything in print. I read McClintock's proposed policy paper, and nowhere did he even mention immigration. I think this is a mistake. Judging by the overwhelming passage of Prop 187 a few years back (across party lines, obviously), it seems that taking a strong anti-illegal immigration stance is a winning game plan. Alas, not one of the candidates has done so.

Really?

And I thought conservatives, if they smoked at all,

would be very careful to

smoke something

OTHER THAN

Bwitch Shrillery Antoinette de Fosterizer, de Marx de Machiavelli de Sade's

DRUNK-ON-HER-OWN-POWER-MONGERING-AND-EVIL

FARTS.

Trying to sell Tom McClintock to an electorate massively populated with raging liberals and exceedingly liberal-sympathetic middle-of-the-roaders

has to be yet another study in California suicidal tendencies.

Dream on, group. You're doing a great job of flushing California yet further down the sewer by your irrationality.

Encouraging, but why didn't he put it in his policy paper? I truly believe that if McClintock made this his #1 issue he'd win the election.

So what if he means what he says...but doesn't have any power to do any of it. Wake up.

If this was a primary, I'd vote for McClintock. This isn't a primary, but a winner take all election.

If the republicans do not rally around a single person, then the dems win.

Who do we rally around???? I'm going with Arnold because I think he can win.

I was at a playdate with a lot of moms from my kids kindegarten class. A lot of them are going to vote for Bustamante. These are soccer moms in Silicon Valley. They aren't the most liberal of voters. They are more moderate. A few did say they were thinking about Arnold. None of them talked about McClintock. They all talked about how bad Simon was.

I'm just giving a pulse of the way things are in the Silicon Valley.

Do you still miss her? Opportunities like that don't come along very often - especially for a guy like you.
