well, they for certain understand power(political not military) and politics better than us which is understandable when one lives by the lowest common denominator.

He doesn't have the right to remain a judge and defy a court ruling. That's the bottom line.
If he can't live with the rules of the judiciary, he does not belong in it.
To: WOSG
The US Supreme court also has te 10 commandments enscribed as seals on a door.. But no one knows the intent of the artist, therefore its exempt. (Talk about twisted logic)

Yes on the first and yes on the latter if only by default.

Right.
And btw I am a nonfundamentalist Catholic Christian, and I *know* that Judge Moore has the Constitution on his side on this matter.
Even if you disagree with Moore's views, even if you are an atheist, you should be appalled at the abrogation of rights going on at the hands of Judge Myron, forcing this monument to our legal heritage down.
The ACLU will move on from here to next trying to *force* libraries to *pay money to maintain access to porn* via internet connections. "1st amendment" they'll say.
Shove religion OUT of the public space, and shove the degradation INTO the public space; the real agenda is anti-moralism, nothing to do with freedom.

I suggest the judge open the court house to children and adults of Alabama to display the history of the state and it's founders and wait to see if these federal nazis want to interfere in their religious liberty and freedom ?

All I know is that the "establishment of religion" clause has been perverted over the past 40 years. It prevented Congress from creating the "Church of the United States" back in the early days, but it didn't prohibit public support of the Church of Massachusetts. From the 1780 Massachusetts Constitution:
And the people of this Commonwealth have also a right to, and do, invest their legislature with authority to enjoin upon all the subjects an attendance upon the instructions of the public teachers [ministers of religion] aforesaid, at stated times and seasons, if there be any on whose instructions they can conscientiously and conveniently attend.
I'm just as glad that we don't have compulsory church attendance or the taxing of Baptists and Quakers to support Congregational churches, as happened in Massachusetts.

I'd say these zealots need to start working on their own houses before trying to erect religious symbols in court rooms. Boy, this must just as exciting to you as sending Elian back to Castro.

Moore will likely use this as a stepping-stone to run against Richard Shelby next year for Senate. Uh-huh, he's going to challenge a sitting GOP senator. Right. Dope!
This is purely political, as was his run for Chief Justice in 1998.
Now you're claiming that his campaign and election were . . . political? Is that supposed to be a criticism? Running for office is political . . . that's 'bout the first factual thing you've ever posted!!!!! Not terribly insightful though.

Was Martin Luther King a sitting judge?

My government -- and yours too if you are an American citizen -- was founded upon Christian-Judeo principles and the morals and ethics inherent in the Ten Commandments. The Ten Commandments and God have a place everywhere. It is not like people are forced to bow down on their knees and kiss the pavement or the rocks or the plaques, is it? If people don't like it, then don't freakin' look. I haver to hide my eyes when I am on the Internet and when I am watching the television. There are many things that I don't want to participate in that I come up against and have to turn the other way. Everyone should just deal with it like the rest of us have to.
The people of Alabama -- you know "the people" who are REPRESENTED by the lawmakers and judges there -- support Judge Moore. That says it all.
For crying out loud, crazy people around me want to accommodate the religion of Islam and even potential terrorists more than Judeo-Christians. What is it: hate Jews and hate Christians? I am growing very weary of this and somethings gotta give. It is all in the Judeo-Christian Bible though. It is playing out nicely I guess.

From Article III, Section 1 of the Constitution:
The judicial power of the United States, shall be vested in one Supreme Court, and in such inferior courts as the Congress may from time to time ordain and establish. The judges, both of the supreme and inferior courts, shall hold their offices during good behaviour, and shall, at stated times, receive for their services, a compensation, which shall not be diminished during their continuance in office.

I'm glad too, but the point is that the "no establishment" clause doesn't mean what the contemporary courts say it means.

This is outragous! As a nation of Christians, why can't we worship our God as se see fit? It's time to take our country back from the heathans and non-Chrisitans. They can live here I guess (deportation isn't exactly PC) but they should shut the h*ll up and leave us alone!!!
Those are very dangerous and nearly criminal words you are uttering.
How is his statement in any way criminal? Did it in any way advocate violence? Good grief, are the PC thought police invading FR now?

Wheter or not we agree with a ruling, if we refuse to abide by it, aren't we advocating anarchy? There are such things as unconstitutional or immoral orders which men are not compelled to obey. When placed in a position of being forced to obey an unconstitutional abridgment of religious freedom, a man is not only allowed to disobey, he is compelled to do so.
There is absolutely nothing in the United States Constitution forbidding public display of the Ten Commandments in a public building. There never has been such a prohibition and, indeed, many public buildings make reference to God in words inscribed into their architectures.
An offense against an arbitrary and immoral ruling of man is nothing as compared to an affront to the God of Abraham, to whom we owe our very life's breath. The God of Abraham delivered the Ten Commandments to us through Moses and we should hold in contempt any man proclaiming that we have no allegiance to convey and follow those Commandments.
Do not fear anarchy. Fear the tyranny of wicked men who deny God's authority over them and would have us worship at the same altar of their blasphemy.
Believers should be happy to perish by the sword rather than mock God and His Commandments.
God will bless Judge Moore and those who stand with him in obedience to the Almighty.
