Knowing the way Congress operates, the bill probably included $10 million to study moose farts, $21 million for the construction of an ice cream museum, and a whopping $100 million for another highway and bridge to nowhere in West Virgina.

No doubt

You're right about predictions. Then the good thing is when you make a "dire" prediction, you can always point to it after the fact and say, "See, I told you so, but you didn't listen to me."

Oh good Congress will be delayed on an energy bill while they hold hearing to blame everyone else.

"The "greens" have a lot to answer for. You can lay a lot of the blame for this at their feet."

This is the Greens proudest moment.

Thanks for getting my point---
I predict that the media will jump on this "I told you so" thing.
I'm really going out on a limb with that one < >

Everyone knows that the blackout (can we still use that word?) never would have happened if we had more windmills and solar panels, and banned SUV's from the road. </ sarcasm >

For all you black helicopter, tinfoil hat folks; this was planned in order to get spending increases authorized by congress. On the other hand, it would be a good time to sneak a nuke across the northern border during the chaos.

Good point. I wouldn't have wanted to be the supervisors on duty at the border checkpoints when all the equipment crashed. Not only the electronic cash registers, but the license plate readers, databases, etc.
