Fox, via a national power company organization: Power grid affected goes as far west as Saskatchewan and Oklahoma, and as far south as Florida. So anything in that zone is conceivably in danger, but most of the rest of the country has successfully pulled themselves off the grid to protect themselves.

Speaking as someone in northcentral PA, I have outages north, east, west and southeast of me. It's a little unnerving, mostly because I'd hate to be out of touch.
If I stop posting on this thread, its because my power went down.

Does anyone remember the QUANTUM LEAP episode where Sam plugs a hair dryer into a certain outlet at a certain time and KNOCK OUT THE WHOLE EAST COAST?
Who plugged in a Hair dryer today?

My power flickered here about the same time all of this started. I'm 60 miles due south of Oklahoma City. Not sure if it's in any way connected.
