If those microbes have been there that long(their ancestors, anyway) under the kind of pressure & oxygen level conditions as described, then i doubt they would survive the massive changes, and would themelves pop like a can of warm mountin dew in th back of a black suv in a houston parking lot.
wouldn't it be kinda scary if some alien kinda thing did crawl out at night, though.

Please read it again. They aren't concerned by microbes from down there, they don't want to contaminate with microbes from up here.
...might become contaminated with microbes and chemicals from the surface.
