If those microbes have been there that long(their ancestors, anyway) under the kind of pressure & oxygen level conditions as described, then i doubt they would survive the massive changes, and would themelves pop like a can of warm mountin dew in th back of a black suv in a houston parking lot.
wouldn't it be kinda scary if some alien kinda thing did crawl out at night, though.

I always chuckle when I hear people here(Va and PA) complain about how hot it is. They have no idea what hot really is. The Euro's are now experiencing May Houston weather.

...which has not been exposed to Earth's atmosphere in as many as 15 million years, might become contaminated with microbes and chemicals from the surface.I think they are worried the other way around. That microbes would contanimate the water in the lake.
