The universe is 13.7 billion years old, and the Earth is 4.6 billion years old.... It is hard data that you are arguing against, very hard data. Which is why I wouldn't argue against it. These ages would appear to put a serious crimp in creationist theory; but intelligent design theory remains unaffected.
