My dad went on Atkins a couple months ago and his cholesterol shot up to close to 300 (from 200) in a few short weeks.Really on the diet? Not just a "kinda like Atkins"? How much weight did he lose?

He lost 10 lbs (he only needed to lose around 20), and he followed it strictly.
