with Bush calling homosexuals "sinners."

Lies. Bush said we are ALL sinners. Big difference which the article obviously strives to downplay. Perhaps the author feels that homosexuals don't commit any sins. Of any kind.

The YUCK factor will never go away, not in a thousand years.

The more these people push, the more there is an equal and opposite reaction.

The backlash ain't gonna be pretty.

The Triangle Foundation and similar organizations around the country are receiving more calls from gay people concerned about harassment since the Supreme Court ruling, Montgomery said, though no statistics have been compiled.

Why is that?

I love the way this is phrased.

Imagine if it had been written like this:

The Triangle Foundation and similar organizations around the country are receiving more calls from gay people concerned about harassment since the Supreme Court ruling, Montgomery said, but they haven't compiled any statistics to back up their claim.

"This is the line in the sand, the marriage issue," said Horowitz, 51, of Farmington. "We are their vision of hell."

Only one among many.

Cere believes the debate isn't over homosexuality, but about the definition of marriage.

That was a damned stupid thing to say.

As gays advance, America squirms

--------------------

They aren't advancing any more than schizophrenics are advancing. With the help of the media and leftist judges they are wearing us down.

I'm bored with homosexuals. When I was younger and more naive, there was an initial fascination learning about something that was a taboo topic for so long, now it just reminds me of that stage children go through where they tell the same joke a hundred times and expect to get the same reaction as the first time.

I mean, who cares what people do? Why do they have to be so public about their "private lives"? Who do they think is interested? If they want a permanent life together, they should sign a contract. It's not like they care what the church has to say about their orientation. All they do is bitch about that, and get really nasty about demanding that mainline churches pat them on the head and tell them they're normal and won't go to hell or something, and that God wants them to be "fulfilled." What I can't believe is that any church would fall for that whiny approval-seeking petulant hostile behavior.

If they want conventional approval for an unconventional lifestyle, good frikken luck. I personally find descriptions of both male and female homosexuality icky. I hope that the next celebrity that decides to tell all thinks it over and gives it a pass.

"In the bedroom, homosexuals now can do what they want without fear of being arrested".

BS- there never was a "fear" of being arrested. Yeah, like it was a police state 3 weeks ago. Liars.

Typical liberal reporting of manipulated 'facts'. Like this one:
"President Bush and the Vatican both spoke out against gay marriage, with Bush calling homosexuals "sinners." "

Bush did NOT call homosexuals sinners. He said, "we are ALL sinners." He did not single out homosexuals. Of course, an accurate quote would not make for an incendiary quote, though, would it?

I had to doublecheck to make sure Dowd didn't write this article with her usual extractions and manipulations. Poo poo to this balderdash.

There is a bronze monument on the promenade along the Detroit riverfront, on the Detroit side. It features an African-American family looking hopefully across the river at the "Promised Land."

I suppose that now a gay couple will be added to the statues of the fugitive slave family.

Why do homosexuals have to push this marriage crap down decent American's throats? All they have to do is quietly hire an attorney and sign some notarized papers that'll give them the same protection and benefits afforded to real married couples, without the glamour, glitz and stupid liberal media coverage.

This is all part of their left-wing agenda to destroy the American family and the traditional values we hold dear.

"It may take several generations

There are no "generations" for homosexuals, since they are incapable of reproduction without the assistance of a third party. In order to "produce new generations" they have to take away someone else's kids. Unfortunately the "homosexuals' children" are all being sucked down a sink at some abortion mill somewhere.

That is why they have to indoctrinate and recruit YOUR AND MY children into their deviant life style.

Gays are only about 2% of the population, and nothing should be done to damage the institution of marriage, which is intended to benefit future generations (e.g. children) because of such a small pressure group that is, additionally, particularly weak in the area of descendents. Any talk of marriage being a 'civil rights' issue should be dismissed out of hand.

If morality and history only ratcheted in one direction (leftward), we'd already be well past this point. It doesn't. It swings bank and forth. And the harder you push in one direction, the harder things swing back when they turn around and go the other way.
