The creation part is what
life is breathed into the newly formed child (the physical cells and subsequent body are just re-connected atoms made from existing matter, you're right, not new creations). There is a spirit involved. I don't know how God would handle a conceived body that was fatherless.
I think humans need a mother and a father, in God's eyes and in His plan.
