He could not do anything about abortion even if he wanted to because it has been decided by the supreme court and is not a state issue and the same constitution has a Second Amendment that also takes that issue out of a governors hands.That's akin to saying a drunk who insists on driving is safe because he only had access to whiskey--not beer or wine.

That certainly is a stretch from what I said. My point is that you can't make dire predictions about what the governor will do when the governor doesn't have the power to do those things. Period. Since I'm not a Californian, it really doesn't matter what I think since I can't vote in that special election. I'm just an observer.
