You have to vote your conscience, but I don't believe a pro-life conservative would ever be elected governor of California. It certainly would help Bush while campaigning there to have a popular Republican governor at his side.

If Schwarzenegger becomes such a popular figure as you surmise, that represents a real setback for the cause of the right to life of the unborn, and the effort to protect our Second Amendment rights.

He will be held up by the left of both parties as a shining example of how wonderful pro-abortion gungrabbers are.

Not a good thing. Very bad, in fact.
