I know many LDS folk who've shared their testimonies with me. Many of their doctrines are so non-scriptural in basis that I don't think it can actually call itself a Church that preaches salvation only through Christ.

living in utah, i know many LDS folk as well and i'm pretty familiar with their faith. i can understand why their cosmology causes some mainline christians to hold them apart, but i can see no basis for your saying that they do not preach salvation only through chirst. why do you say that?

I don't know enough the LDS faith, but it seems that belief in Christ is not enough for eternal life. Belief in Christ, in my understanding of Mormon Doctrine, gets one physically resurrected in order that one can work and earn eternal life.

I may be wrong here, but it seems to me that the person of Christ has a different relationship with both sinner and the Father than in "mainstream" Christian denominations.
