No they're not. They are specifically designed for the GOP to suck up to yet another constituency that will never vote for them anyway, another example of the GOP eating its own brain.

If there is one single retiree that removes himself from his corporate insurance plan, I will be shocked.

In case you didn't know this -- despite all predictions to the contrary, Bush actually got more votes in Florida among senior citizens than Gore did.

If there is one single retiree that removes himself from his corporate insurance plan, I will be shocked.

Maybe not tomorrow, but with this Medicare coverage in place these corporations will have no problem scaling back on the quality of their insurance plans. Trust me on this one -- these retirees are eventually going to be removed from these insurance plans.

Nope, won't happen. They'll use the corporate plan, the government plan and probably have a plan or two more. Then they will b*itch and moan and complain if they have to spend $2.00 to get one of their many unneeded prescriptions filled.
