Well, as the South simply intended to peacefully leave the Union, and the Union would not have it, choosing to invade and kill thousands, I feel your terminology is innacurate.
I think the reason this damnyankee study is flawed is because in the South if you bump someone you say 'excuse me' instead of 'watch where you're going, a$$hole', as is a typical reply up north. In spite of being a nonviolent person, northern callousness and rudeness makes me want to provide a suitable attitude adjustment, along with a lesson in manners.
